Bed compatability questions

Will an 89-95 bed fit an 87 body? If so what other problems might I run into. Also does anyone think it might look a little wierd with the different body lines?

I search but really couldn't find what I was looking for.

If you've got an address bar, you can post a link to the pics...

If you've got FireFox and it's in your album, then you can right click and copy image location then paste that in the insert image box..

gonna bump this for one more question, is there a big difference between the 4wd and 2wd versions of these beds? I know there is a difference in the front fenders but unsure as to what and how much. Thanks.

I'm thinking the only real difference are the body lines. The 4wd had bigger wheel flares than the 2wd, which looks better. But i have seem many 2wd trucks with the 4wd style beds and surprisingly they are in better condition than the 4wd in regards to rust cancer. Too bad i could never find a 2wd with the 4wd style bed in any of the junkyards.

it will swap as suggested above .. 6 of the 8 bolt mounts line up .. and tail lamp pigtails are the same . Fuel filler is different , but if you can get the original filler tube , it makes things much easier . the bed itself is larger/wider then the stock unit .. it will stick out on each side about 1/2 " when centered .. and with the mount pads eliminated , you can get the body lines to be close ...

.

is it me, or dose the wheel base not match up in the rear end, ie the 84-88 is shorter than the 89-95.

Other than that the body lines match up a little better than I thought.
