id reccomend getting it rebuilt. usually its cheaper than getting a new engine.

yeah the tranny. oops. got preoccupied... watchin the charger game. its usually cheaper to rebuild the TRANNY than buy a new one. thanks for catchin the mistake. my bad.

i agree rebuild.. then u know that its in good shape as opossed to a junk yard one that you have no idea of the shape of it anyways

Few questions.

Have you changed the tranny fluid?
Have you changed your shifter seat and socket?

cost you mabey 60 bucks to do that, perhaps it will work?

unless you know a LOT about transmissions, id get it done by a mechanic. theres a lot of stuff in there that can really mess with you... as someone on here said, "it takes thousands of nuts to hold a truck together, and it takes just one nut to leave the truck all over the highway". but first, like jay suggested, CHANGE your tranny fluid, and change the shifter seat and the socket. if it doesnt work, rebuild.
