Backspacing

Hey guys, I am in need of backspacing advice. I've searched the forums but still need help. I know most people are running 3.74 to 4 but I see a few of those soft 8 rims and pro comp rims in 3 and 2 inches. I want a wider stance than my stock rims. Is 3 too much? Does any one have pics of something lower than 3.75. Most pics I saw were 15x8 with 3.75.

These are 31x10.5 on 15x10 rims with about about 3.5" backspacing, no lift. They rub the front valence and mud flaps but the widened stance feels way more stable and looks cool too

A lot of people are using pro comp rock crawlers or cragar soft 8 wheels. Does anyone have the summit racing 85 series. They look similar but are about 50 bucks cheaper. They only have them in 15x8

Wrong section!

Most people don't use a smaller backspacing because they don't fit properly. The tires end up rubbing the bottom of the fender or the valance. I guess it all depends on what tire you intend on using too.

I have 15x10 rims with 32s. The rims have backspacing of 4". They stick out too far and rub, even with BJ spacers.

Does a lower number mean it will stick out farther? Or is it the other way around?

The less backspacing you have, the more they will stick out.

In putting 31x10.5 in them and I have no lift just stock height. That should work?
