axle fit

i have got a 92 and need a whole rear axle assembley its a 4x4 will a 88 fit that year i thinking it will but just looking for some feed back

IIRC, the thirds might be swapable, but the axle housing itself may be a little different; I think they changed the design a little between 88 and 89, but if I'm wrong someone correct me.

what's wrong with yours; why do you need to swap the entire housing?

they changed the axle widths in 1990 IIRC...
the 90+ axles are 3 inches wider, so unless you wanna run spacers on the rear, dont do it...
