Aux air valve 22re
does anyone know how to test the auxiliary air valve to see if its good? My idle is doing some weird things and im thinking this is the culprit.

The valve is open with low coolant temperature closes when the coolant temp is up to operating temp.. I don`t know the temperatures with out looking
Do you plan to test on the vehicle or off??
Simple enough to see if air can be drawn through the hose when it is cold.
Most of the time when they fail they remain in the closed position.
I am not sure if I ever had any that worked the hoses start to leak and just get put in a loop with new hose.
Ac causes the idle to change as it cycles on and off??

For S&G I pulled the TB off and removed the valve. Stuck it in boiling water to test it like a thermostat and the I got no movement from the small spring valve. It seems to be stuck in the open position because I can blow air through it all the time. Befoe I drop $100 on a new one, I think I'm going to grab another one from the junk yard and do some more testing.
The Idle problem isn't the normal idle surging, up and down. My idle will change from stop light to stop light. First light its at 900 rpm, next light will be 500, next light 700, and so on.
Its not the A/C cycling and the coolant is full with no air trapped in it.
