In preparing to replace the windshield on my '94 pickup, I hope to take the opportunity to attack some rust that has developed around the channel. I wonder if there are any suggestions of some quick methods of stemming the tide of oxidation on vehicles of this age. Any recommended methods that entail a wire wheel or simply sand paper, then the proper paint for some rust abatement. As shown in a couple pics, I did a round a few years back with some rusty metal primer, then topped with some brush on enamel, but it hasn't held up entirely. I am looking for something fairly quick but effective.
