ARGH! Air box stud removal.

ARGH! Air box stud removal.
I have the carb off of an 87 22r. I cant get the airbox stud off(picture below). does anyone know if they are pressed in? i assumed they are threaded but i could be wrong. I tried pb blaster and 2 locking nuts, but can't get it.
