Anyone running 63's and IFS?

I don't think I've come across a fellow yotatecher who's got 63's in back and IFS up front...

Anyone? Pics? .. knowledge to share?

Seem's logical to me, get about 3" of lift from a 3pack w/ overload 63" spring. Coupled with balljoint spacers and an inch of torsion bar increase. Seems to me like a doable setup and a good one?

I'd like to hear from folks who've done it tho!

thnx

That is the exact setup I have had on my 87 runner for the last 18 months. It flexes well and is fairly cheap to do. I would do it again and would recommend this setup. I am running 33x10.50 BFG MT's on it and it sits level and looks good. If I can find a pic of it on my computer I will try to attach it.

My only hang up, is I don't see how people are running 63s and 35s without cutting or rubbing all to hell, cough, algranger.

Looking at 4banginrunner's ride, 33s would be about the max tire height without sacrificing flex, am I correct?

I would go 63s and long travel up front, flying high baby!

I've ran 34" Nittos, no problem, though I had shorter shocks on it then. But with them on I'd hit the bumpstops before i hit fender. I'd prolly be in the same situation now with the shocks i have now. I got F250 Front shocks on the back now, a bit stiff, but flex alot better than my other ones.

Also, I have 63's off an '01 Chevy 1500. Not the typical 88-98s. Dont know if that affects alot, but I had 96 2500 Burban springs (removed 4 leafs and the OL) and it sat higher...don't know if that was the spring rate with the 2500's or being in the 88-98 range.

(BTW the 96 2500 Burban springs came in at 61"s and a 90* shackle angle, the '01's come in at 62 3/4" and i have a nice shackle angle, almost 45*)

sweet!

I'm sold on the idea. My buddy has a set of 3pack + OL chevy 63's laying around. I'm thinking of doing the double shackles. I got an extra set of long shackles in my parts bin. Id have to read up on how folks are doing that setup. i dont know what lengths they need to be.

I'm gonna do a ubolt flip kit and 14" procomp es3000's. thats assuming procomp has a 14" shock.. i cant imagine them not. I have procomp 9000's on all 4 corners now and i like em a lot.

anyone?

I've heard some scary stories about the double shackle set-up. Unloading coming downhill and such. I just went with the Sky kit, cheap and you get everything you need to put 63's under your rig.

You might have to play around with the pack to get what you want out of them. Chevy's OL is about 1" thick. I'm running a 2 leaf pack with the OL on my 4Runner and it sits damn near level with the BJ spacers.

That first picture is the before pic. I was completely stock there with the 33x10.5 BFG's. A better after pic is in the thread that I attached. Yotatech would not allow me to repost the same picture twice so I had to attach the old thread as well. I also do not remember what year spring pack I used.
