I'll have to look into this as I need a battery with dual posts.

It is an Odyssey, on the inside. The confusion lies in the fact that it is not red/orange color. It is a Sears Diehard Platinum Marine battery. Essentially, a rebranded Odyssey that is $70 cheaper and available in town.

I went for that particular Odyssey/Die Hard due to the dual posts. I confirmed in e-mail with Odyssey that the threaded posts have the same current draw rating as the standard posts. So, I run my winch off of the threaded posts and everything else off of the standard posts.

Picture of the battery below. It is a Sears Diehard Platinum Marine PM-2 Group 34M battery. This is the same as an Odyssey 34M-PC1500. The Odyssey batteries are a hybrid starting/deep cycle. The best of both worlds. This one has slightly better specs than an Optima Yellow Top, and is supposedly more durable. I have seen them referred to as Mil Spec batteries, but I cannot find that in writing anywhere.

Also, a major selling bonus, the baby blue case on it almost matches my baby blue 4Runner. I would have paid $70 more for that....

Thanks, it came out really nice, sometimes I surpise myself. I have to admit, I sanded it and sprayed some clear on it. Way anal on that one. It will shine forever more...
