Any tricks for removing rear shackle bushings?
OK, so I posted earlier how I couldnt get my lower shackle pin to budge. Turns out its being held in by the bushing, the top slid out no problem but the bottom is being held in by something. The bushings are in pretty good shape and I'd prefer not to have to drive to the dealer to pick up new ones. Are there any tricks for removing the old ones?
If it comes down to it I guess I'll just cut the pin, but that means I'm going to have to go rent some kind of cutting tool from Home depot or something. I dont have anything like that in my garage. I was expecting this job to be relatively easy. Damn.

i took a punch and a 3# sledge and whacked away i had to take off my spare, but it worked and popped right off. i also have these 3foot stakes that fit right in the hole and pounded them out.also use a lot of wd40 or PB blaster.

I had to use a angle grinder to remove the bolt off of the parts truck we had.
did it to see if it was going to be hard to do to my truck.
we even tried to burn out the bushing with a torch with no luck
do not try to bang it out with a seldge hammer you will bend the mounting bracket before the bolt comes loose at least that is what happened to us.

Wow, thanks. It looks like I have the same bushings that guy did. This sucks, way more work than I expected. I think I am going to just bolt the top pin back in and bolt my shock back up seeing as the bottom pin wont go anywhere when I try to get it to budge. Its all deformed now so there's no way I can re-bolt it back together. Does anyone know of a good spring shop in the Phoenix area? I guess I'll just take my chances and drive it there to have them work on it.
