Antenna for 1988 pickup needed, dont want Autozone speacial,PN needed!
Hi guys, Im getting started putting my 88 back together after its paint job.. I had to kill the stock antenna to get it out of the fender which was OK because the plastic rod down in the fender had actually just broke anyway! I want to buy another stock antenna or one that mounts like the stock with that support bracket, I installed an aftermarket universal mount on my last truck and it sucked, it just mounted to the sheet metal and did a number on the fender! Does any one have the Toyota PN of the stock antenna or know of an aftermarket that mounts like the stock? A power antenna would work too as long as I can mount it in tight! Thanks again, Matt

I have a couple of manual ones that I used from Crutchfield.com until I got my power antenna put back together.
The work well. Just go to crutchfield.com and take a look. IIRC it was like $20.
If you can get an OEM one for a few more bucks I'd do that, although the metra one works fine.
As a side note, I think that the manual antenna got better reception than my power antenna.

The package I have for the metra product says 44-ty22B.
Fits Toyota Truck/4Runner 1984-1988, Camry 1983-1986, Celica/Supra 1983-1985.
Do a google for 44-ty22B. I see them on ebay usually as well or as mentioned before Crutchfield.com

I got a neat retro fix for a standard antenna. Found one of those CB antenna that has magnetic base 9.$ at flea market. Took the spring part off then cut the head off a bolt that would fit my base now when I go under tree limbs it just lays over
