So after reading about all the different options with a rear window that wont go up and down, i decided (after making sure the window motor actually works by hotwiring it) to bypass all the relays and install my own switch. To make sure that i've still got fuse protection, i splice the constant power wire just under the dash on the way back to the relay and wire it up just like the diagrams here and on the 4X4crawler page. I was all excited to get the thing to work but the first time i hit the switch i hear i poping/clicking noise somewhere under the dash or in the engine compartment, and now my front windows wont go up or down either. I notice from the drawings that there is a fuseable link somewhere in the system but i cant find it, and think that is my problem. I dont know why i would have blown that but since i'm out of power totally, thats my first guess. If anybody can actually tell me where it is (this is a really sad and pathetic question, but i just cant find the thing), i would be very greatful! I really want to roll my windows up, afterall, i do live in Seattle!
