Another cruiser coil/ball joint spacer install

Hello all...I've recently completed the install of my lift on my '92 4runner. The coils came out of a '97 80 that had approx. 65000 miles on the clock. If I remember correctly, both coils measured around 18 5/8". Also, one coil had 3 yellow marks and the other had 2 yellow and 1 pink. After the install, the rear of the runner was way too high. I had to crank the drivers side t-bar 6.5 turns and the pass. side bar 6 turns so it didn't look like a '60s musclecar. This left me w/about 1/2 to 5/8 rake which looks pretty good to me. Also, I've installed hubs. The ride is stiffer but far from intolerable. I realize I kinda of defeated the purpose of the bjspacers but the 4runner looked ridiculous. I'm kinda curious as to what others have experienced as far as rake goes..

Those are the same coils I put in mine. I don't mind the rake, plus when I have it loaded with camping gear and towing my little trailer, it sits pretty even.

I think the cruiser coils give you about 4" of lift in the rear, but the 1.5" BJ spacers only do about (take a guess) 1.5". By cranking your t-bars you got it closer, but now you will have worse ride quality because you have almost no droop and very stiff compression.

I have the HD Downey coils, they are a perfect match for the BJ spacers IMO, and about $200... I think you would be better off going with something like these, and then maybe a 1.5" spring spacer if you must. The cruiser coils are a better match for a 4" lift or LT kit...

While I'm at it, where's the pics? Do you have stock T-bars? You could upgrade those if you wanted to help in the front lift dept... Also, do you have stock shocks? If you do, I'm guessing they are at maximum extension, not a good thing when just sitting on level ground. What about a panhard relocator? If not, your axle is probably about 1-2" off to the driver side. Ouch
