Nice job. 1I recently did a similar build and I know how nice it is to finally be complete. I had adjustment problems related to the 261 EB cam. Mine is idled up a bit but runs great, the main problem which you don't have to worry about is when the AC is on it idles way down and tries to die when sitting still. No prob when on the highway or cruising at a decent RPM. With the cam, vacuum drops from (stock) 22 inches to roughly 15, and that is the cause of my problems. Researching backup vacuum canisters.

So turn the adjuster that's on the upper plenum to adjust your AC-on idle..

Problem fixed.

Cam works fine idles good,
As for the fram that was for the break in oil K&N filters arnt cheap.

Got about 800 miles on her so far. I had a problem with the LC oil pump over pressurizing 80-100 psi and put the one from the rebuild kit on 40-60psi

I have a cold knock I don't know what it is but last 1min then gone I think it;s the T-chain on the metal guide but dunno.

Moter runs great i got 5th gear back pulling the trailer (empty)

i just fingered out gas miles well 1 tank 21 miles a gal but some of that was pulling the trailer/ loaded bed + alinment/ tires are bad. So im expecting it to go up.

I I was gonna keep track of ever receipt and just forgot. i'll guesstimate

ok found some receipt price/ tax/shipping

machine work $275
rebiuld kit $239
timeing cover $49
camshaft & head bolts 155$
rocker arms, water pump, crank $251

$969

i can't find my LC receipts
oil pump $150 ?
header $358 ?
cat $120 ?
cat back $389 ?
valve ajusters $40 ?

$1057

So $2000 crap i spent that much my ass hurts now.

My advice is LC header good........ but get the rest made up at your local shop.
I had 2 hack and weld the crap out of the exhaust system 2 get it 2 fit right Bolt Up my ass.

I had the exact same set-up except for the cam I had the Engnbldr 270 & clutchmaster clutch.I had 18 to 22 mpg.I totaled the block and rods due to a hydrolock accident.I finished my rebuilt with stock bore block, stock used head,Comp Cam 260S.Just checked my mpg its 21.5 mpg.The motor so far has only 400 miles.Ill never cross a knee high stream again.
I like your set-up and Itll be fun to drive.
