Alternator slightly worn out of spec. Ever seen this?

So I was beating the truck pretty hard the other day on my way to work because I just had to go look at this project truck. I pull off the back roads onto a semi dangerous road called 307 in VA and damn alternator light. Now the engine is covered in oil because I've been blowing off the oil pump seal and the alternator has been coming loose once a year for four years or so so i know what I'm about to look like when I'm done tightening it up. I pop the hood and much to my dismay the darn tensioning bolt is snapped off. Out come the faithful gunshow zipties , I take off the intake pipe zip up the alternator to the power steering lines for tension and off I go. When I get home I take off the alternator to get the broken bolt out and find this. See pics
O gee thats not good.

So how long would it last if I filled it with JB weld?

Not too be a simple fix party pooper. But..
Replace that seal and buy an alternator. I'm sure jb weld would hold for a little while but you've already got it out...just my train of thought

Knocked out the seal yesterday but I have a lce gm alt mount coming sometime next week to switch it over. I'm wondering if a JB weld fix would hold to get a truck back home as I have another truck 4 runner actually that my wife drives. Itwas worth asking about to see if anyone had ever seen it before. It looks like I need to quit neglecting my regular maintenance. I probably would have noticed the belt was loose if I would have touched it. Thanks for looking refund. Have a good one.
