Leave it to a CANADIAN to ruin all the fun here......J/K!!!!!!
Didn't want to rain on anybody's parade especially another Canuck!
I was merely trying to point out there are some LEP's (Law Enforcement Professionals) who are trying to make a name for themselves!
Over the years I seem to find them....or they find me....not sure which is correct!

I'm not saying you "will" get pulled over for it, but it is something that may be an issue should you happen to have the LEO with a chip on shoulder or some other reason to be a penis leach.

One (arguable) "legal" way to get around it would be to install a trailer light converter so that both the "turn" and "brake" lights in the stock housing are steady on when you hit the brakes, and both flash with the turn signals, or wire things so the turn signal doesn't light with the brakes but the both brake and turn flash with the signal. You may need to change the turn signal flasher under the dash to compensate for the load (but not likely), but at least they would act like legal lighting.

Again though, it looks good.

Previously on Hawai'i 5-0:
"He's got blinking red lights!"
"Pull the haole over!"
"Charge him for impersonating an officer. Book 'em, Dano!"
To be continued.....

it just may be, but in person you cannot tell at all, i looked at them last night and couldnt tell a difference, could also be the angle, but like i said, their both just as red as the brake lights. i used to think the surf tails were cool, but then had this idea which ive never seen before anywhere, so im really glad i did this

After reading through this thread a since it started, I have been keeping an eye out for other vehicles that have separate RED blinkers and brake lights. The aftermarket tails on my Tundra have separate red tails and signals. I have noticed a number of stock/factory vehicles with separate red brake and signals. A few GM vehicles, a Nissan and quite a few cars that I couldnt determine what they were. All of them 2000 and newer vehicles for sure.

yea im pretty sure it doesnt matter what year the car is, if it came stock with red signals and red tails hats fine, if it came with red tails and amber signals that you tinted red, im pretty sure that is illegal, but to be honest i really dont care

Hopefully the police do not notice but in Canada and I believe western Europe yellow for signal is the law. However I have seen many new chevs that have replaced with all red lights. Safety related issue. I think it came from people with autos resting their foot on the brake causing the standard flashing or emergency lights condition.

Older cars where just like the US with all red.

scofflaws and taillights

All you scofflaws!! That's why there's now some 6million plus people in jail in the US. Taillights and all that contraband...

(Seriously. Look it up. That's more than in USSR ever, even under Stalin. Remember he whacked 20M of his own people.)

BACK TO TOPIC!!
Looks pretty good on the all black. How about the light output as in lumens emitted? Does the paint cut down the visibility? Lots of 'homes' around ElPaso have ALL the lights totally darked out. Can't even freakin see them until you're on top of 'em.
