All painted and on now:

After sandblasting I used rattle cans to paint. 1st was a primer coat, then a textured coat, then 2 coats plain gloss black.

I added one more little thing to this bumper, a receiver mounted tow ring and step.

The tow ring mount is cut out of some 3/4" thick plate and goes all the way through the receiver with a hole drilled for the pin:

The step was cut from 1/4" thick plate and just welded on the top.

With the extra tubing do you think you boosted the tow capacity enough to tow a couple thousand pounds. I need a new rear bumper and was thinking about going with this one but I need to be able to tow a two place snowmachine trailer.

Way to be, that bumper looks gorgeous.

You have to love when you take a chance and everything works out.

Yes, I'd feel good about towing another truck with it now.

i kno this is an old thread but i just wanted to say that the bumper looks amazing on that older pickup and it makes my want to do the same thing to my 94.........i was just wondering if cutting the roll pan was the only mod youu had to do besides drilling the holes??

Pretty much that's it, IIRC I needed a thick washer under each bolt on one side. Also keep in mind that I have a 1" body lift. Not sure if that would make a difference or not, probably not since there looks to be room to move the bumper down on the frame. Good luck
