Alignment Issue - 4Runner pulls to the right

Hi,
This is my first post, I did a search, so hopefully I didn't miss anything too obvious.
I have a 94 4Runner, 117K miles. Its pulling to the right fairly significantly. I have had it in to a reasonable mechanic in the area and they can't fix it. They say that they can't adjust the castor (pretty sure they said castor) enough to keep it from pulling to the right. They said it was likely something was bent down there enough to cause it to do this. They also claimed that it shouldn't cause abnormal tire wear?? (that doesn't seem right).

Anyone have any guesses as to what is wrong? I am not a mechanic, though I have done a fair bit of work on VWs, but thats a different beast.

I am kinda near Denver, so if anyone knows of a good mechanic that can actually fix it in the area that might be helpful.

Thanks

Can you post the alignment numbers?

Castor has the least affect on tire wear. It's the forward backward angle between the top BJ and bottom one. If you don't want it to pull have an alignment shop set the castor on each side equal.

Welcome to Yotatech, take it to another alignment shop and if they say the same thing then have them show you the part that they think is bad.

Thanks. I will try that. Should I take in and get the recall work done up front first, according to the sticky at the top, they will probably do an alignment?

I've had my 4runner for about 6 months, I installed a new set of Bilsteins when I bought it and then new tires, and thats when I noticed the pull to the right. I decided to get it fixed because now I am driving the truck more since I sold my car, and I haven't decided what to buy to replace it.

Thanks for all your help.

You can do that and ask them to do a full alignment, normally they will just adjust the toe.

Yeah, my alignment was out a little, then I took it in and had them do the recall and align...but it was just out the other direction after that, and it started tracking funny on the freeway, so I called them up and told them. They rescheduled me for another look see at it next week. See what happens after that.
