Aftermarket Hood Air Intake ???

Hello Everybody !!!
So this is the question. Would a hood air intake benefit, prevent (blown headgaskets, engine overheating, etc...) . A V6 92 3VZE ????
I saw an australian one with a Lexus V8 engine. Looks sweet...
I think, maybe, some extra fresh-air to rear cylinders should benefit them at last a little bit, so ???
Cheers

you could mount a newer style hoodscoop onto your hood 9it would take some work though)

No no hp gains, or very unnoticeable. Just cooler engine temps.

^ which would be good.
If you got the time, money and knowhow to pull it off, go for it.
Cut a hole in your current hood, graft a scoop in, paint and you're done..

are we talking about cowl induction? Just a hood scoop like what the new 4Runner sport editions have?

Oh no !!! Maybe I did not express myself the way I wanted (I need to improve my english... ). I am not looking for extra horse power. Just thought, that by canalizing fresh air to rear cylinders could be a good idea to avoid overheating.
I made that question, because putting an air intake on the hood is not a VERY common swap on 2nd Gens, or at last I did not see too many .
For example the weather in California is very similar than in Spain (Hot dry summers ) and I dont see too many hod scoops on your rigs.
