99' 3.4L erratic idle problem, P0505 code
Trying to track down an idle problem.
I've search and read a lot of posts on this.
Yes it still does it once fully warmed up.
It idles high sometimes (1500-1700rpm) and other times low (600rpm).
I recently changed the timing belt. I'm wondering if I caused a problem when I did that but can't see how.
I removed the IAC valve. It look fairly clean, checked it, put power on both sides, valve moved fully in both directions. It seemed to function as it should.
I cleaned the MAF tonight. Now it's idling low, around 600rpm. When I unplug the electrical connector on the IAC the engine idles up.
When I unplug the TPS the engine skips once and the idle doesn't change.
I've checked for air leaks.
What else?
