95 toyota 4runner steering problems
so heres the details, 95 4runner 4'' rough country lift. brand new. brand new 33'' toyo tires on brand new wheels. alignment has been done twice. after the lift it has drove horrible. you start into a corner it steers easy than all the sudden it darts horribly i have never had a lifted toyota drive this horribly. can some one post a picture of the front drop brackets on their lift so i can double check that the lift is in right (even though i have installed many) the only thing i can notice that might be a problem is the front drop brackets are backwards pushing the differential backwards causing the cv axle at a different angle and when turning it binds up causing the steering to be tight than releases and pulls hard. any ideas???

Sounds like you answered your own question and explains why you got no responses.
Fix what you know is wrong first, it's a rule or something

I have the same basic setup and HAD the same problem... downright scary.
I had new tires, shocks, and alignment done and it still had the same problem and when another guy took a look at it he discovered the passenger side pittman arm was bad. They replaced it and it drives like a dream now. I'd look at that as a definite possibility. If you can grab it and get any kind of movement at all, it's shot. It was another $75 but well worth it.
Apologies for the oily mess there on the passenger side, I had to replace a blown PS hose that made a hell of a mess. Frying bigger fish right now.
And don't be a cheapa$$ like me, go ahead and spring for a new steering stabilizer. Actually it was in my quote but didn't get ordered... no charge so no loss but still.
