95 4runner misfire

New to the forum and not sure if I'm posting in the right section. I have a 95 4runner 3.0 manual that has a misfire on cylinders 3 and 6. Put new plugs, wires, rotor, cap, and fuel injector pig tails. It has a strong gas smell from the exhaust. Not burning any oil, coolant is still full. It will idle at about 1200-1500 rpms. Is there something I'm missing before checking compression. I'm not a mechanic by no means but can do basic and simple repairs. The egr valve has been deleted by the previous owner. Thanks.

I would do a compression check. Are the plugs from 3 and 6 wet with fuel after its been running for a bit?

May have some clogged/bad injectors.

I had injector #1 short on me recently and had to replace the actual inject not the harness. Maybe do an injector service, new orings etc and test them for shorts.
