I live pretty close to you guys in Estero. We have been going out to East Bonita a lot lately and have done some climbing and what not. We should all get together. Saturday nights we all meet up and have a campfire and do some trail riding.

Mine ..(stock V6) has a blanked off breather on the rt side..I sealed off the transfer case shifter boot and ran a hose from the vent to the engine bay.

Yes it is soft rubber and keeps the splashes from the fan off the distributor..You still have to put some Dielectric grease on the ends of the wires and ensure there is a good seal on the Cap.

don't forget to repack your wheel bearings more often!
also your engine pulleys might wear out prematurely. i had my a/c idler pulley seize up on me due to too many muddy water crossings. the idler pulley sits the lowest to the ground and when it seized, the belt popped and knocked the rest of my belts off. fun times cobbling it back together to get off the trail

Just be carefull where you drive...You have to walk the water first. The wheels must have traction. If there is deep mud under there you will be screwed. With traction the vehicle will keep moving forward and stay dry inside.

We got my brothers 4.0L Wrangler stuck down to the top of the doors in what we thought was a small mud puddle, turned out to be a clay pit. Took a John Deere 90-series tractor to get him out. Started up and drove it away. I think he is still driving it.

Just replaced rear wheel bearings...after 2 years. My Mistake.. I had removed the bearing seal while instaling and packed too much grease..the seals popped off and all the crap got in and destroyed them.I usually get about 5 years out of them going in the water now and then.

and my wagon....same park. no snorkel, you can't tell in the video, but my air filter is dry (dirty from age....but dry). my distributor (more specifically, the Crank angle Sensor in the bottom of it) was flooded:

If you're broke I suggest you take care of your engine and don't dunk it in muddy water.
