95 3vze Water pump bolt torque
I read some were that 2bolts get one torque spec while the other five get a different torgue spec. If this is true does anyone know which ones get which torque? Also what's the best sealant to use around the pump?

13 and 14ft-lbs. theres a group a and a group b, group a is 13 and group b is 14. go get the FSM, you can download it on this site. Theres a sticky in this area for it.
The previous owner replaced the water pump and timing belt before i bought my runner, but the other week when i had to fix my coolant leak, I found most of the bolts were pretty loose. I just gave em a little extra. Use either Black RTV or the Toyota FIPG.

ncttora did not have a FSM for my early 95 3vze truck. They had for 93 truck and up to 95 4 runner. Neither of those manuals looked like mine nor gave torque specs. I've noticed two of my diagonal center bolt holes have lips to help position pump. The bolts are longer and have loose washers unlike the others. I'm going to assume these get 13ft-lbs while the rest get 14. My Haynes manual reads 14ft-lbs for all. Thanx Tubby/Fatty
There are a lot of varying opinions on the gasket / sealer to use. Since at least one opinion quoted a FSM that 4 cylinder models have gaskets and 6 cylinder use only RTV. I almost always use dealer parts but these days can't afford most like FIPG-RDV. So I have scraped and virtually polished the block and will do final clean with brake cleaner then seal with a bead of Super Blue 613-RTV, torque 13 / 14 and hope for the best. No news will be good news.

Had a tech at the dealer show me his FSM and sure enough the two odd bolts with loose washers go in the holes with raised lips. These two are group A and get torqued to 13 ftlbs while the remaining bolts are group B and get 14 ftlbs. He didn't know of a specific order to tightening but agreed that the two odd bolts are centered and diagonal so make a good place to start. then work in diagons out in each direction from there.
