I did some searches and everyone on here talks about removing this piece, but I want to make sure it stays put. I'm not having any rust issues currently.
Any suggestions? My mom lost hers several years ago and told me, keep an eye on that piece, it will fly off and you'll never know. Just this morning I heard a thump and half of it was out of the channel and just wondering if anyone has any tips?

Need to replace the broken clips. Those are clued on in the channel with same adhesive used for the windshield. See FSM
