94 toyota pickup

Hi everyone'
I have a 94 toyota pickup 2wd 5speed all stock. I dont do any crazy off roading I use it to haul around my dirt bike and some roads get bumpy and to rough for the truck at stock height. My question is all I want is to lift it to about the stock height of what the 4x4 pickups would be. Is there a cheap solution to this? Are any of the stock 4x4 parts compatible? Any thoughts or suggestions u guys have just let me know. thanks guys

I've got a locker in the rear and I have 27" swampers.

All I can suggest is crank the torsion bars, get ball joint spacers, then get either longer rear springs/add-a-leaf or longer shackles.

Also, you could do a body lift but those a dorky. lol.

Good luck...and enjoy the forums

You can put 2WD ball joint spacers up front:

And lots of options from the rear:
and you can always put the springs on top of the axle for around 4" of lift.

Whoa I guess I've never noticed that the 2wd's are spring UNDER... Do they just run spring over to lift the 4wd's??? What I mean is could you just swap in a 4wd rear axle and then lift the front to match??? I like that littel 2wd too, those mini Swampers are sweet, I bet it'll go alot of places that a bad driver and 4wd wouldn't get eh

Cheers

The 4WD trucks are spring over from the factory.

Can do, but then you have 6 bolt rear wheels and 5 bolts up front. Otherwise, weld on some spring perches atop the 2WD axle.

Yeah I have one out in the driveway, guess I didn't word that to well eh Haha

Ahhh, I see, good point, I would be so annoyed if I had two different wheels front to back b ut that's just me, it's good to know though as it could come in handy in the future... I'm trying to decide what to build for a toy and I think right now it down to a MKII Golf Syncro or a Toyota 2WD Pre-Runner...

Cheers

sorry to bring back another lift thread :-/ but has anyone done the leaf conversion? after doing one, would you expect the 2wd stock springs to go faster?
