'94 Sag option
Like many other 2nd gen owners out there, I am sick and tired of looking at the sag my '94 has in the rear end. I have seen many people talk up the OME setup and have looked into makin the same purchase. Just wandering if anyone has tried to stuff a set of fj80 rear springs in place of the stock coils. I have a pretty good amount of extra weight in the back b/c i have 4 alpine 12's back there so I want something that will offer enough lift to compensate w/ those as well. Thanks for the input.

You might want to search around the boards a little more. I have seen a couple of people talk about different options and I even might know someone with some coils for sale unless the person has paid him. If you can give me a couple then I will get back with you. If you PM Cootees ... I think he went with the FJ coils on his 4runner.

Aight, thanks man. Like I said, I will probably stick w/ the OME package, but just wanted to see whether or not anyone else had tried swapping a set of fj80 coils.

I put in a set of Downey HDs becaus I have 2 10's and a bike rack and they did the trick. In my case I think the OME springs would have been a little too soft.

do a search for land cruiser coils. there are a few threads out there on it. ive heard they are soft and sag with weight. i have downey HD coils and i like them. fairly easy to install too. 9 dollar internal spring compressors. worked well.

i have 2 short side LC coils and tehy are SOFT. i put my bucket of tools and parts (maybe 70 lbs) and you can see the tailgate lower a good inch. i am going to hopefully get rid of them this summer. if you dont do balljoint spacers they will work good. but with bj spacers i have a saggy but again.
