I have a 94 pickup 4x4 extended cab 22re. When I got the truck it didnt have a knock sensor installed, code 52. I have purchased two different sensors and each one does not have the correct plug. They are similar but have the ribs in different locations or different thicknesses.

My question is what does a correct knock sensor plug look like, i suspect the PO has changed it. What pin on the ECU is for the knock sensor? all of the diagrams I find show different pins. The wire for my knock sensor is a thin yellow wire with green stripe, is this correct? If I purchase a pigtail from the dealer, what exactly is it? The wire from the ECU to the sensor including the sensor's plug?

I have tried to test continuity from the sensor end to the pins on the ECU plug based on all the diagrams I've seen, i get nothing.

I've searched and searched the forum and cant seem to find what I'm looking for.
