94 4runner body swap

ok so i have a 94 that ive built up sas, rear leaf swap, om617 swap (love it), all the good stuff. i recently purchased an 87 with a prime body bad motor and trans. ive always loved the 1st gen runners, now my question is how bad would a body swap be? has anyone out there done one? my 94s body and wheel wells have seen better days to say the least haha. i measured the mounts and the center body mounts are identical the other two centers are off a little, i have not measured the core support or rear mounts yet. has anyone done this?

i kinda wanna do the same i got a 94 4runner and i just picked up a 84 pick up extra cab
so if its easy for you it will be the same but asfar as i know its easy just to line up the chassis with the body and redo some body mounts with some fab work other then that some one prove me wrong please
just my 2 cents

If you've been able to handle doing your own SAS/rear leaf swap, I assume you can weld or have a bud that can. Body mounts will be the biggest thing, mainly the front end.

Gotta wire up the 1st gen body to fit 2nd gen stuff.

Just remember...2nd gen 4Runner bodies are HEAVY

yea i measured the two center mounts and they are exactly the same so it would be easy to line the body and frame up, i would just have to weld some of the other body mounts from the 87 frame to the 94. they have the same frame and wheel base so i hope this will work. i was going to do this just cause i could but i rolled the 94 sunday so now i have no choice :/
