94 22re, Hard starting.

Just rebuilt my motor. I purchased this truck not running. When it starts it seems like it takes too long to start up, and when it finally starts the idle is so low that it stubbles around. It seems like there is not enough fuel during startup. My last truck would idle up high then go back down to the normal 750rpm. What could be causing this to happen.

Note the Engine has the biggest cam possible that is still smog legal in cali.

Check your cold start sensor or injector. Mine did the exact same thing when my sensor was unplugged.
