94 22re 4x4 pickup star and die problem
Alright gang, weird little problem here. I have searched and searched the FSM and not come up with much.
I have a 94 22re 4x4 pickup. It has run really great since I put the new head on it. This past weekend I put a complete new exhaust on it. Got rid of the header, put a new a manifold, down pipe, high flow cat, flow master muffler and tail pipe on. While I was at it I deleted the PAIR valve, by blocking off the exhaust manifold ports and the air box port, capped off the PAIR vacuum line. Truck ran better than ever, valves were much more quite, better running engine all around.
Then yesterday when I went to leave work the truck would start idle up for about three seconds then die. It did this for about five minutes then started and ran fine for the rest of the night. Outside air temp was about 80* at the time.
Today leaving work, the same thing. While it was doing the start and die thing tonight I messed with vacuum lines, pulled the efi fuse, Several different things and did not come up with anything. Then after about 5 minutes worth of starting and dieing it started like normal and has been fine since.
Any ideas of where to start.
Thanks in advance

One of the things I want to try is to see if the fuel pump circuit in the AFM is going bad. Any one know what the pins in the diagnostic port turn on the fuel pump?
