93 truck electrical issue

Having an issue with electrical-- First thing was battery/e-brake lights came on in dash while driving whenever I would hit the fan on or turned on the headlghts, then when I turned off the truck battery didn't have enough juice to start it back up. Parts store said battery and alternator are good, so I'm looking for next steps. My dad-in-law says starter, my buddy says voltage regulator, so I'm gonna look into those... any other ideas?

Check your grounds. Usually those lights together mean bad alternator.

Could also be this.

Ok, so I read through the thread you mentioned-- to be clear (tell me if I misunderstood here) , they're talking about replacing/upgrading the wiring between the + battery terminal and fuse box, and possibly also the cable between the battery and alternator.

As far as checking the grounds, should I just be checking visually & cleaning or are you suggesting I put some sort of meter on them? My buddy told me I can get to the Toyota factory manuals through this site that show all the wiring diagrams-- is that true? (I can't find it!)

P.S.- Obviously I'm new at all this, so try to use "dumb speak" as much as possible, thanks!
