93 4x4 22re slightly overheating

1993 Toyota 4x4 22re overheating after rebuild, not a good issue to have after everything is brand new. runs great at idle, appears to be good water flow through the new radiator. setting still I can make in start to overheat all I have to do is start throttling and racing the engine 4 or 5 times and the temp starts to climb. I can turn it off and let it set for a minute and temp goes back to normal. if I drive down the road moderately temp stays good, but if I start getting aggressive with accelerator the temps starts to rise. I have not let it get up to the red because I don't want to take any chances. the new long block has a 30,000 mile warranty. thermostat works great at and idle. used a laser temp gun and there is 20 to 30 degree change from top of radiator to the bottom. any suggestion. very puzzling!!!!

All air bubbles out of the cooling system? Fan clutch tested good?

fan clutch seems to work when the temp is the normal position you can feel it engaging and disengaging. as far as the air in the system not really sure. I went out this morning popped the rad cap and the water level was fine where I would think it should be. no signs of air but not for sure. it funny because it only does it when I start to race the motor several times..
