Exclamation 93' 4runner 3vze starting woes

For a while now my 3vze has had some trouble starting problems. Once I get it started, it runs like a top. Here's what happens: Any time its been sitting for over 30 minutes, I have to spend several minutes trying to crank it while jamming the gas pedal again and again, once it cranks, it's usually barely running and I have to continue jamming the gas pedal to keep it from cutting off. Eventually I'll hear some kind if popping noise, as if something was stuck and released--after that, it'll start idling and running normally. Sometimes I'll use a bit of starting fluid to give it a boost. That was before this morning.....Today I went through my normal starting routine, but this time I was startled by a loud POP! (more like a small explosion) which blew the intake hose off the throttle body, now the truck will start, but I have to give it gas to keep it running and it feels like the gas pedal is much weaker than before, it'll barely keep it going. SO....I'm pretty sure that the starting problem before had something to do with the throttle body, maybe it was something inside that was making that popping and releasing noise I heard before. Now the truck is pretty much undrivable tho I'm looking for ideas guys! Thanks.

A couple notes: A few months ago I upgraded the injectors, gave the plenum a good cleaning and did an EGR delete. My truck also has an ISR mod.

UPDATE: Replaced the whole throttle body with one from a parts truck my buddy has. Truck cranks, but won't stay running and feels weak. If you hold the gas to the floor, it'll go to about 3500rpm, then drop and cut off. If you pump the gas, you can keep it running, but it won't go above 3000 rpm and in both cases it doesn't idle at all. Also pulled and looked at the ECU since I did get this truck stuck in some pretty deep water when I first got it (3in standing in the truck,) but that was years ago. Figured I'd check for corrosion anyway...

what type of replacement injector did you use ? size/ brand?

check engine timing as well as the cold start injector.

Flamethrowers, with the 4 hole spray pattern. Engine timing ok, been checked multiple times (and yes it did jumper it when setting it.) Cold start injector works fine. The starting problem is now gone since I replaced the throttle body, but now it won't idle. It'll only run if you give it gas, and even then barely.
