whoa, what happened to my garage door?

dreaming and scheming....that's all the progress I made so far....have that list of things to buy in my head....living out in the middle of nowhere doesn't help either....can't do the "I'm running to the auto parts store...." thing because everything is like 20 to 30 miles away.

But I am off today and tomorrow and then the weekend too........if it's supposed to be warmer, I may just crawl under the truck and mess with the oil pan, and pull out the sawzall and give the sway bar links hell...

Half the mind??? Giving yourself a little too much credit there I think.

I think the bolts for the pan will come right out. Just getting the pan out will be interesting. You know what to do/how to do it. Jack it up and take anything out that is in the way.

thanks Windsor.

I plan on going to Harbor Freight Saturday.

I will check northern tool

when i searcher eBay I saw the ARP listings but as packs not individual, I went on the ARP site and found the item# and that's how I arrived at those 2 listings..........of all the internet, only 2 listings.

M12 x 1.25 must be an oddball size. I see M12 x 1.75 stuff for cheap.

don't see why it wouldnt work. Just loks like these would use a standard wrench to turn the others you need a tap tee wrench. $6.00 shipped verses $60 shipped. plus the cost of the tap wrench if you don't have one.

if anyone has a good thread chaser or a head bolt with slots cut into it for that purpose, let me know.

i figure it ought to be about $5 shipping for something like that.

I can't believe that Snap-On tap is 10$, and the ARP one from Summit is $50... what is wrong with the world.

By the way, any local hardware store will probably have this, for about $10. A tap will work fine, and an M12x1.25 tap is a must for any Toyota guy's toolbox. All you need to do is be careful not to cross thread it, and thread it in gently. If you encounter force, stop, and back up. Realistically, you can mess up threads almost as bad with a chaser as you can with a tap...
