here.

OK...before.....body to outside of tire greater than 1 inch....about 1 1/2'' or so...apparently as serious as a heart attack in Pennsylvania.....but I digress...

Bought me some ------------>>>>>>>>>>CONVEYOR BELT.....hahahahahah....from the Tractor Store at $2.79 / foot...bought 16 feet...so about $48 with tax.

to give me one additional inch of coverage....not complete coverage, but enough to keep me legal....hehehehehe

should hold up nicely to the weather.

want to put black RTV or something like that (maybe liquid nails, eh?) to take up some of the gapping above it and seal it up to keep crap from collecting.

also, going to trim it so it's not such an abrupt angle

That'll do pig, that'll do.

Nice thinking. I think the conveyor belt material will hold up well. It looks like it covers the tread up though, just a little extra sidewall still hanging out. I would say problem solved. Got some diff breathers in yet?

WOOO HOOOOOOOO, i LOOOOOOOOVE TRACTOR PULLS! Wait, trim? OH, ok, nevermind, I got excited for a minute! lol.

LOOKS COOL, 92! I guess pretty soon they'll have regulations that make you have a silicone blast pack instead of air bags, ...you know, like in Demolition Man? hahahaha. Funny story though, ....When I was bout 25, I had that 70CST blazer and it had 35's sticking out, and one day, heading up the 395Hwy to Mammoth, my friend shouted, 'OUCHHHHHHHH, OMGOSH!', with other words of course! lol. Anyway, a piece of gravel had flung up and penetrated his arm while he was doing the "I can fly" thing out the window!!! ....Crap happens, eh?

Lookin good, 92! Really happy for ya....now to get mine RIGHT! lol

You gonna pul something like black silicone caulking along the line between the body and the belt?

I actually like the idea, if anything ever hits those "flares" at least you'll not have to replace them, or it'll be cheap to do so.

so here's the final word on the fender flares......

Look like hell, but do the job.

i measured and measured and marked etc......but i drilled the holes and then mounted them. if i were to do it again....and very likely i will, to make it look better....i would drill the holes when i had the material up against the area to accommodate for twisting etc....

on a scale of 1 to 10.....as far as how the finished product looks....i will give it a 4..........but i will give it a 10 for ingenuity , a 10 for it being easy and a 10 for doing the job it's intended to do.............. give me legal coverage.
