actually.... the last one came out the worst.
was the left rear that previously had almost disintegrated but i did a boat load of body work....but the bolt wouldn't loosen and the just crushed in.....so I FIPG'd and tacked it in place a bit.......may have to actually use liquid nails...no joking

so , a few updates.
took my truck for a small trip 2 days ago.....getting less neurotic about it....but this trip was a good work-out......quite a few steep hills where i had to be at steady high RPM's for extended times......did well and back home without problems.
just shy of 500miles since i started it up on May 20th......time to dig in and check the head bolts and adjust the valves (not today though)
fender flare project, like i said, i really should have spent more time on it, did not come out perfect as i wanted it to, but came out pretty well and is definitely enough coverage to keep me from getting pulled over.
some pics....
this side came out the best....again, the trick is to bolt 1 bolt and just drill holes as you go along.......that's what i did on this one and it came out the best......

and then, just to have the pics in the same place, here are the other pics...again

Jk, I love it! Flecker got me with his "You know where that 'Toyoda' comes from on the Power Steering Reservoir? The original owner was named Nakomira Toyoda, and He wanted ONE THING in there with his name on it"....I was like "Yeah? Wow, trippy story"....... Then he cracked up, saying "Nahhhh, I just made that up, have no idea why that's like that! lol"
Hey, Jerry, .......my gas cap has that logo....can I be in the club? hehee

92, is the DMV inspection up there ran by the nazis or something? you should see some of the rigs that drive around CA, no joke 6' frame to the ground, no mudflaps, no big deal to cops around here i guess

I was just reading that thread the other day, I haven't laughed that hard since I was a little girl
