OK ladies.....a few things.
1st of all i went against my better judgment and took my truck to work today...no probs.
remember, my inspection expired the end of April....so...hehehehehe...i got away with one today....but it's parked back in the garage after that 1 and only trip.
it's 18 miles 1-way to work....so roughly 36 miles logged on it today.....again...no probs.
as XXXTREME22R can testify...driving to my house is almost all uphill for the last 3 to 4 miles....and certainly there is a relentless 1 mile hill where it's a bit of a sustained RPM thing....this was my test...and i did fine.
THE BAD....yup..there is some bad.....noted a drop under the truck yesterday......investigated and can see wetness at the very back of the oil pan....my theory is that in the struggle to get FIPG in the right spots and compounded by awkwardly jiggling the pan into place i probably plowed the FIPG out of that area. no biggie, i'll just drop the pan again..............hahahahahaha...like HELL i will......it can leak right from there for the rest of it's days........
but all in all...if that's the worst of it, i will take it.
