92 pickup presto change-o into 4runner ??

ok, i have put no thought into this what so ever!! i just thought i would throw it out there..... could you take a 1992 pickup and somewhat turn it into a 1st Gen. 4Runner??
I love the old 4Runners being able to remove the top, but what if I could remove the cab (the back half) of my 92 shortbed and make it into a make shift 4Runner?? Has anyone here heard or done or thought of this??

Why not just buy a 1st gen 4runner and keep your pickup. Unless you have some serious $$$ burning a hole in your pocket and you don't mind a lawsuit if someone in your make shift rear seats gets ejected from the vehicle because you don't know how to engineer seatbelts or something like that.

It's an American thing...you wouldn't understand!
And besides....engineers kill people all the time.

And BTW, it's funny because I thought of making my 4runner a pick-up. Geez...sometimes we're never satisfied. I think I'll just keep it a 4rnr.

Buy some rear seats from a junk 4Runner, bolt them into the bed, and then cut out a bigger sliding rear window. That would be an awesome option for 4Runners, now that I think about it... You could just slide the window closed on all your noisy friends in the back.
