92 dead spot at 65mph

Tonight I noticed that when I stomp the throtle I get a jump bucking experience. I was running the truck down the trhuwat at about 75ish and it seemed ok. I made a stop and headed back down the pike. I was in 5th gear (5speed 6cyl fuel injected 92 aprox 186k) and I jumped on it at 65 to pass a car, she bucked and had no HP. Now I am gonna bet its just a fuel filter so, where is the inline filter(if there is inline) on my 92? also will the gas tank from a 4 cyl 22r work for my 92 6cyl FI? Thanks and much appreciation.

PS Also, how well will sprig over shocks work with my truck? I replaced the rear shocks but think the leafs are smoked and a friend has a set of shocks with springs around them and he says they will be fine, any comments? Thanks
