Well it finally happened this week. We live at the ballfield with our 4 kids and I parked just a tad to close to the field. A foulball landed right on my sunroof and you can guess what happened. I was proud I got close to the field but now I will go back to my old spot in the back. Well the glass is cracked or spider webbed on the outside, checked ok from the inside so I don't think it will leak. Can I replace this myself and can you put tinted glass in this? I am going to call my insurance agent Monday. What makes me feel bad is its still the original glass and never leaked a drop. I hope that replacing it does not start problems. My kids love the power sunroof and my daughter wants the runner next year when she turns 16. Just had the water pump, timing belt replaced just this week, so I am sick cause of this. But live and learn. Thanks.

I guess I didn't really ask my question in the above post. About how much will a new glass in my sunroof cost and how hard to do it myself? I checked my insurance and it is under comp, so my deductable is 200.00$ So probaby not worth filing a claim. Thanks again for the help, you all always come through! Roll Tide

yeah .. probabally WORTH filing a claim ..

If it a factory "MOON" roof .. then Toyota is the ONLY place that has them .. you'll have to phone and get a price .. but be Sitting when you do so .

so wonder if it is worth my time to shop around for a used one? Not sure where to start on that one. I am still kinda new to this forum so is it possible to find one on this site?
