91 pickup 2wd not gettin fuel
im new so i hope im postin this in right forum. I drove my pickup down the street for the first time in about a month. parked it then came back to it bout two weeks later and tried to start it. Just keeps cranking over now. I checked for spark and thats ok. replaced the fuel pump and that didnt fix it. replaced the five prong relay and that didnt work maybe cuz it was used. fuses seem to be ok. i tried to jump the two relays with the blue/w red dot and the white/black with siver dots...thought they were the right wires but maybe not. they have continuity but no power from either one if they even suppose to. im still tracing the problem down and was wondering if anyone could give me some help here. thanks to all

Use a short piece of wire or a paper clip and jumper the T1 and E1 pins in the Diagnostic port ( passenger side inner fender in the engine bay). Turn the key to ON , don't have to start it. Read the flashes. Check here for more info:

did you check for power at the fuel pump? maybe try releaving the preasure in the fuel system to see if you are getting fuel or not. Will it fire with eather? if so, maybe you simply have a clogged fuel filter. If you do have preasure in the fuel lines, and everything else checks out ok, put a gauge on there to see if you have Eough fuel preasure. I'm assuming it is fuel injected

Pickup in distributor. Can you hear the injectors clicking when cranking? You can pull the distributor, turn the key to on and turn the distributor by hand. You should here the injectors.

the pickup is good, it is a 22re, the pump is not getting power, its getting spark, it is not getting fuel, i had the fuel line off at the fuel rail. the only way the pump would work was to hook it up to a 12 volt car battery. i dont know what would cause this if the fuel pump relay is good. i will check the cel codes and get back to u guys

2 ways to check fuel pump operation.
1st method
With the key on, engine off (all of your dash lights should be illuminated), short the fuel pump test connector and listen near the tank for fuel pump noise.
2nd method
With the key on engine off (same as above), physically push the AFM door open. You should be able to the fuel pump operate from there if it's quiet enough.
Another somewhat common problem with age and mileage is a faulty circuit-opening relay. This operates the fuel pump, and I believe a few other things. Take it out and ohm it. If it ohms out correctly, heat it with a hair dryer for a minute or two and retest it. Sometimes they're affected by temperature.
Also, it's common for that short piece wiring connector from the fuel pump to the main harness to go bad. It's so common, that good knowledgeable Toyota mechanics automatically replace it when installing a new fuel pump.
