How tight should the main and rod bearing be on the crank. This is on a motor I'm rebiulding and the parts have been mashined already and i'm in the resemble mod.

it should not be tight

generally .001" to .002" oil clearance should work. The specific clearance is more like .0008" to .0021" or something like that. You would have to look that spec up to be for sure But I always try for 1 to 2
