Talking 89 Yota 22re

Got a problem with my truck, I'm not an expert by any means so thats why I came here. A few weeks ago I used a product in my rad to stop leaks in head gaskets apparently and its just made my problem worse. After driving I can literally open my rad cap and look inside and coolant is non existant. I've never seen a leak on the ground so I can't figure out where it is going. Also, yesterday I had a head gasket test done where he blew compressed air into the cyclinders with the rad cap off, and apparently my head gasket is great not even one bubble came up. Also my over flow is always full, like its not sucking it back ino the rad, anyone know what could be going on ? I am going to do a coolant flush today and clean that crap out that I put in so maybe that will be the answer. Any experts opinions would be appreciated!

you might have a bad rad cap . which could cause the the burp bottle not to empty back into the rad. you might also smell the tail pipe when it running and at operating temp. if it has a crack in an exhaust port the antifreeze could go out that way.it will have a sweet smell. i had this happen on a 86 turbo toy truck i had.

plugs were fine, no water in the oil or coming out the tail pipe,

even my mechanic has no idea whats up,unless his test was a failure and it is the head gasket but then I could see water in the oil wouldnt I

I would also say that putting that rad stop leak in was a wrong answer to your problem.... only will clogg it up and ur t-stat can get clogged as well.... if its still loosing coolant internally and you ur 100% sure theres no external leaks and the oil is not milky then i suspect intake maifold gasket leaking.... is there white smoke out the tail pipe?

White smoke only when it is cold, is the intake manifold gasket the head gasket? He did the test with compressed air and said my head gasket is fine so I dont know whats going on. He made my bypass my heater core so were going to test that and see if I still lose coolant so we can rule out the heater core.

If its white smoke cold thats prolly just cause its cold outside..... unless not? Intake manifold gasket is were you see EFI on ur motor.... the intake chamber with the throttle body attached to it.... where that meets to the head is prolly leaking.... its made up of 2 sections which could be leakings....

Not exactly if it was a small leak.... a hair line crack in head......theres coolant that runs through the intake.... crack in there.... Check hoses around throttle body... i mean i'm just guessing from what you have said....

My guy checked everything, all hoses everything no leaks outside the motor,so he has no idea where it is going unless the test he didnt prove anything, i might just end up taking it into the dealership and getting raped with a huge bill

Have someone also pressurize the system and see if it holds proper pressure. Check rad and t-stat too.

Another weird problem going on with my truck...

It Idles at 2500 RPM , and the idle is adjusted all the way down. Its weird, I can have it in 1st gear and let the clutch out and I don't even have to press the gas and it will start driving. If its not doing that, the engine will surge, from 1000rpm to 1500 over and over the needle will just bounce from one to the other . My friend said it could possible be the cold start injector? Anyone else ever had this problem

i had the exact same troubles as you.. i found out my water was slowly leaking from the coolant drain on the block and was turning to steam.. but i doubt thats your problem since your coolant is getting gone so fast.. bump for the cold start injector question!

Turns out it was the head gasket leaking in #4 cylinder, which apparently is also what was causing my idling problems
