12:RPM Signal. No NE signal is input to the ECM for 2 or more seconds after the STA turns ON.

Is the starter engaging/cranking engine but its not caching? Or is it just not turning over?

There is no code 34 for the 22re.

the starter engages and turns the motor but does not want to start, the guy said that sometimes its starts and run great, he will then go to the store and come out and it wont start at all, and i think the other code was 32, can you explain code 12 a little more, how to fix?

Thanks so much toyota4x4907

There is no code 32 either. There is a 32 for the 3vze and 3fe. Theres a code 31 for the 22re.

"NE" has something to do with the ignition or something. I dont remember exactly. Search around I know it has been explained before. I have to go to work.

Code 24 is Intake Air Temperature Sensor Signal. Open or short in the intake air temperature sensor for 500 m. sec or more.
Trouble areas: Open or short in intake air temperature sensor circuit, intake air temp. sensor or the ECM (least likely).

Are you sure the timing is set correctly? I dont believe 24 would prevent it from starting, but 12 could im pretty sure. How did you check for good spark?
