I just recently bought another toy. It is a 89 sr5 ext cab v6. I love the truck. Only thing I can find wrong with it is when you go to start it sometimes it wont crank right off the bat it doesnt even try to turn over or anything. An I have to push in the clutch start button several times and keep trying before it will start. My question is what can I do about this. Can I disable that clutch start button and if so how?

 

Its that little button on the left side of the if your in the drivers seat. Only reason I knew to do it when it happened was the guy who had it before me told me it would prolly do it every now and then and that was what I had to do to fix it. I dont mind haveing to press in the clutch to start it. I hope I can just do away with it. Any info would be good.
