so truck blew the typical headgasket, finally got it all put back together last night, started right up. started it a few times and what not then all of a sudden it wont start. turn the key over and nothing. figured it was the battery, but everything is all tight/clean followed the wires to the started nothing seems to be out of the ordinary, timing is set. been reading through here for the past few hours and tried everything I have seen and nothing has seemed to help, tried smacking the starter a few times, checked and it isn't seized up. just totally lost on what else to check.
