89 leaf springs

I had my driver side leaf spring break on my 89 4runner, 3vze. I would like to replace this spring and or both springs with a ones off of an 85 4runner. I realize these are technically different springs. Just curious if it is possible, or what the difference is between the springs. Is there any way to make this work? Or will it work just fine?

measure springs from eye to eye and from eye to centerpin.

That will tell you the story.
