89 4Runner Suspension

ok guys, apparently this is a good one. Nobody here in Manitoba is willing to touch the leafs on my Runner, save for one, and that's going to cost more than my cost for Air Ride through work. That's not a problem, but here's my question, has anyone here ever done air ride on (front) IFS suspension, and if so, what did you use? Is it even possible? What would be involved? I have a 4" lift on it, but it's shot and looks like it's running just a wee bit higher than a stock suspension (about a 1/2 inch clearance from the bumpers all around). I'll see if I can grab a couple pictures tomorrow so you guys can see what I'm up against. I'm hoping to have this done by spring, that way when the mud gremlins attack, I can just run over 'em....

I've never seen it done, but I think it'd be crazy expensive. Why the heck won't they touch your leafs?

I'm guessing nobody wants the work right now, either that or they just don't want to touch anything with a lift. I looks like it was only done half heartedly (not by me), and most of the stock absorbers were left in, if that's possible... which is why I have the creepy feeling that this is going to be a lot more trouble than it's worth. As far as the cost for the rear end, I can get the air springs for 130 bucks a side, and the fittings and airlines for about 30 bucks. I work at a firestone distributor though. The air springs I looked at were rated for 5000 lbs of load handling each, can't remember what the psi was though. As far as rebuilding what I've got, the only guy that would even pull it into the shop to look at it wanted 200 bucks a leaf, with new bushings being extra on top of that, and he still wouldn't guarantee he'd be able to match the lift. As far as new springs go, I can't find anyone here that makes them or is willing to. Here's some pictures of the suspension clearance at the stops, it's pretty bad. First is the rear, second is the front, and the third is just to show how sorry it looks(keep in mind the lift)
