My brother bought my 89 2wd from me. And he rebuilt the engine and changed the tranny to a 5spd (from same generation truck) and the speedo cable is on the wrong side, and it will need a different tranny to crossmember mount. Is there anything else we will need to do? Will he just need to get a longer speedo cable?

Driveline will be different

 

Interesting...the driveline looks identical to my 91's and it slid into the back of the 4spd and into his new 5spd
